English Country 
English Country can range from casual to formal and based on practicality. Traditionally, country cottages were the homes of villagers and farm workers with simple, unsophisticated tastes. Materials and furniture were basic and functional, and often locally made.
Background colors are instinctively taken directly from nature. Autumnal colors are best; pale and rich chestnuts, greens, creams pale yellows and oranges blend perfectly giving a warm cozy effect. Remember to keep shades muted, however; stark or bright colors shriek of disharmony and give the appearance of new cottage living for the chic townsmen. Accessories Handmade rugs, blankets, rage rugs, patterned cushions and the embroidered rugs draped over armchairs, family heirlooms. Make sure the fabrics look worn. Overstuffed, comfortable furniture is also a necessity.
Curtains are usually simple designs, lightweight, small-patterned fabrics probably work best for small rooms and the right length is just below the sill level. No Sew Curtains

The kitchen is usually sparing in space and filled with, hanging dried flower and having the ability to see around you.
- Tables are covered with skirted fabrics that flow to the ground.
- Mix old with the new when it comes to patterns, furniture, pillows and accessories.
- Dark jewel tones for the walls also is within this style. If you are not allowed to paint you may be able to use the starch on wall technique. The only challenge may be if you are using a dark color, it may bleed onto the wall.
- English country loves fresh flowers, fireplaces and candles to make this space cozy.
